Meet Max

I leave for my trip in just a few hours, but before I packed up the car I wanted to introduce you to Max.  This birthday boy was so smart and fun... it seems as if I don't get the chance to photograph as many older kids these days, and Max came in ready to play.  He looooooved the train, which is good cause it came by more than once during his session.  Come back any time, Max.

White Sale!

Just wanted to let y'all know that I will be out of town as of tomorrow night, so the studio will be closed for about a week.  But before I leave, I wanted to announce our first special of 2007.

0057_handcolored_2To celebrate our move to the new studio, and the new year, I decided that our first 2007 special needed to be truly special.  Something clean and simple, that reflects the style you're used to seeing in my children's portraits, but also something new and fresh.  So, I'm happy to announce our first annual "White Sale" event will be held on March 16 and 17.  We'll shoot these 30 minute white-on-white sessions on our new "vintage white" portrait area in the New Braunfels studio.  The session fee of $125 will include a portrait package, and additional prints will be available after the event. To make things extra special, I'm offering complimentary spot color effects (like you see here) for those who want to add some color to the simple white on white look.  To sign up for your time, please email or call us at the studio.  We have a limited number of sessions available and I expect these to book quickly!  More details to come, after I get back in town.

Our model is Sweet Sadie, who recently came in for her first year portraits.  She is such a delightful kid.  I just love her backwards wave.

In other news... our email seems to be working again.  The good folks at Bludomain, who designed the site and who host it, have been overwhelmed with the traffic on our server.  So, they've spent the past couple of weeks trying to solve the problems and move people around to kind of spread out the traffic.  We are on server 6, which gets over a million hits a day (the server, not our site).  So, things should get a little better.  Again, if you've emailed me in the past few weeks and haven't heard back, please let me know.  I may have gotten your note and mine may have gotten eaten by the server gremlins, or vice versa.
