Ahhhh, Christmas!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We ate too much, but it was worth it.  Is keeping to a healthy diet even worth it this time of year?  I was talking to a friend of mine this past weekend and we were both swearing that we'd get back on track today, but of course this morning I feel like Christmas is only a few weeks away, so maybe I should wait till January.  ;)

Just as a reminder, this is the LAST WEEK to order if you want to have prints back before Christmas.  We are past the deadlines to be able to get cards without a rush order.  But print orders that are in by this Saturday will be back in time for Christmas delivery.  I am closing out all 2007 sessions so if you'd like to reorder, now is the time.

The website is STILL in the process of being moved.  I will be transferring the domain to the new servers later on this week, so we may still have site or email outages sporadically.  Thanks for your patience with this!

I know it's been awhile since I blogged images, but I feel guilty about blogging sessions when I know I have people who still need to order.  :)  But now we are caught up, and we'll be seeing several of you this week so you can get your order in before the deadline.  In the meantime, here is Aubrey, one of our newest Little Blessings Club babies.  Doesn't she have the sweetest little pout?  I do love a gummy baby smile, but this just makes my heart melt.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!  The studio will be closed until Tuesday morning -- as always, if you would like to come by and pick up orders next week, please let me know when you will be swinging by so we can make sure someone is there.  We do a lot of off-site work this time of year and I would hate to miss you!  We are almost always closed from 12:00-1:30 for lunch and errands. 

In other news, my web design company is moving my site to a new hosting company, so I may not be accessible by email until we re-open next week.  IF YOU SEND ME EMAIL DURING THIS TIME and do not hear back, I did not get your email.  I just want to let everyone know that we are likely to have some downtime.  I'm just not sure how much.  But once we are moved and we get all the new settings adjusted, I hope to be done with the server outages for awhile.  ;)  Thankfully, we have this scheduled over the holiday when we are not going to be open anyway, so our email/site traffic should be less heavy than usual.

To those of you who are traveling, have a safe drive or flight!  Eat lots of turkey and mashed potatoes.  I am a firm believer in the theory that food is calorie-free on holidays.

Email is Back!

Well, for the moment at least.  If you emailed me last week or over the weekend and have not heard back, any time the server was down it appears that anything sent was "lost in space," which drives me absolutely crazy.  We may have another outage soon (I hope) as my site is moved to a new hosting company.  I'm still waiting on a move date for that though.

Christmas mini-session orders should be here tomorrow.  The cards from those orders should be here by next Wednesday.  Just wanted to update those of you who are waiting.  :)

ARGH again

My site and email are down AGAIN.  We have had intermittent email all weekend, and now it is just totally down.  So if you have tried to contact me and haven't gotten a response, that is why.  There is also no access to the website so all galleries and other info are unavailable for the moment.  I am trying to get switched to new hosting this week -- we will see if my current host will cooperate.  The studio is, as always, closed on Sundays and Mondays and we had a very VERY busy end of the week and weekend, so if you have called, I will get back to you tomorrow morning when we're back in the studio.

Several orders are going out this week to out-of-staters.  Our Christmas deadlines are looming.  If you have an order that you would like delivered before Christmas, now is the time to get it in production.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience.  I am VERY frustrated with the site issues, as I know you are as well.  We're getting them taken care of for good this time, if I have anything to do with it.

Crocs

I don't blog much about my kids these days.  But this weekend they spent some time with Ziggy and Daddy Pete (my parents) who work out at Newks Tennis Ranch.  I don't know what kind of group they had out this weekend, but Mac and Cheese got to hang out on the ropes course and do some of the elements.  I love that they are not afraid of these kinds of things -- like, oh, swinging through the air.  I also love how my 3 year old princess of a daughter loves all the icky and slimy and scary looking things.

My mom snapped some pictures of them today.  If you ever have a chance to go out and visit Newks, it is such a fun place.  Mainly tennis, but they've done a great job of building the ropes area and the challenge courses.  My favorite image is Charlotte standing on her "crocs."

   

Christmas! Already!

We had a GREAT time last weekend at our "Night Before Christmas" event.  Everyone brought fantastic gifts -- the Medina Children's Home kids will be thrilled with what Santa brings them this year.  A big THANK YOU to everyone. 

AND, of course, all of the kids were adorable.  We have the cutest kids in the world coming to this studio.  :)  We had PJs, beautiful princess dresses, and cuddly winter sweaters... every single group wore great outfits.  I never can get over how much the kids change from year to  year... I have been photographing some of these "babies" since before they were born and soon they will be in school.  How can that be?  We also had a bunch of new kids and it was great to meet you all.  I know it was kind of a zoo, but I hope you all had as much fun as we did.  It was such a fun way to kick off the holiday season.
